A domain is the address of your website, for example mycompany.com. It belongs to you and you pay for it directly to the registrar. You do not have to give us access to it: you only add two records, or we do it for you. Email on your domain does not change.
You connect your own domain after the first payment. Until then, the preview runs on our address.
1. Open Domain in the panel
- In the menu, click Domain.
- Choose I have a domain, enter its address (for example mycompany.com) and click Show the steps.
- The panel shows a DNS records table with the exact values for your domain: an A record for the main address and a CNAME record for the address with www. Each value has a Copy button.
Don't have a domain yet? Choose I will buy it myself (recommended) (steps on where and how) or Buy it for me (we send you the price to confirm before buying).
2. Add the records at your registrar
- Sign in where you bought the domain. If you are not sure where, check the invoice or the email about the domain purchase.
- Find the DNS settings (DNS records, DNS management, DNS zone).
- Add both records exactly as in the table in the panel: copy the type, name and value without spaces. Leave TTL on automatic (or 3600).
- If there is already another A or CNAME record with the same name (for example a parking page), edit or delete it first, otherwise the records will clash.
- Save.
Do not change MX records (email). Email keeps running where it is.

Another registrar? Look in the domain settings for DNS, Nameservers or Zone editor. If you cannot find it, write to us and we will send you a guide for your registrar.
3. Let us know
Click Connect it for me. We check the records and launch your website on your domain. In the field you can tell us where your domain is. Do not write a password there.
The change takes effect within a few minutes, sometimes up to 24 hours (exceptionally 48). We check the records automatically every 15 minutes. When they are right, you receive the email The records are correct, we are connecting the domain, and another email when your website is running on the domain. https security is set up automatically.
Status
At the top of Domain you can see whether the domain is Not connected, Waiting to connect or Connected.
Don't feel like touching DNS? Click Connect it for me straight away and tell us where your domain is. We will get back to you and agree a safe way, for example an invitation to our account at the registrar.
Stuck?
Write to us and we will help. We reply on working days, usually the same day.
